In recent years the company has adapted its sensor capability in new market applications further demonstrating its world leading capability to deliver effective millimetre wave radar sensor solutions for outdoor commercial applications.

Notable "world firsts" include:
2000 - The first operational driverless straddle carrier port in the world in Brisbane, Australia.
2002 - The first quay crane anti-collision safety system using millimetre wave radar for Bristol Port Authority, UK.
2003 - The first operational airport ground surface movement system using millimetre wave radar at East Midlands Airport, UK.
2006 - The first commercial off-the-shelf 77GHz millimetre wave radar based security system. Navtech systems have now been sold in the USA, Italy, Qatar, Poland,Ireland, UK, Middle East, Singapore, Czech republic, Spain, Portugal and India amoungst others.
2007 - The first radar based system for motorway incident detection and hard shoulder monitoring, deployed on the M42 for the UK Highways Agency.
2009 - The first radar based tunnel incident monitoring system successfully deployed for the UK Highways Agency.
2009 - Flight trial of the first radar based system to help prevent collisions during helicopter landing. Jointly developed with EADS.
2010 - Navtech Radar Awarded Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2010, Britains's highest accolade for innovative design and manufacture of radar based sensors for security surveillance, industrial automation and traffic sensing.
